[origin: EP1612349A2] The vehicle door lock (1) has a locking mechanism, operated by a key. An operating and/or locking lever (3-5) works with a transfer unit to link the operating mechanism to the vehicle door lock, to give the locking lever (2) its locking and unlocking functions. The lever has a coupling (5) which extends outside the lock housing (11) for a direct connection to the transfer unit at an eyelet (10).
