Abstract (en)
The graphical user interface includes at least one display box (14,16) for indicating malfunctions, the box being displayed in a first, low-contrast color during normal operation, and in a second color, such as yellow, when there is a potential operating malfunction belonging to a first group. When there is a malfunction in a second group, the display box is displayed in a third color, such as red. Independent claims are included for a further graphical user interface; a method of displaying an malfunction status; a graphical user interface for assisting removal of an operating malfunction; a system for automatically generating messages; and a method of automatically generating messages in an electrophotographic printing or copying system.
