[origin: EP1612754A1] A metallic protection screen (24) covering the openings (22) of a casing is designed as an antenna and is connected with an antenna output socket of a wireless module. The casing is mounted on the wall or ceiling of a building. An alarm detector in wireless connection with the surroundings of the casing via the openings is contained in the casing. An electronic circuit evaluates the signals of the alarm detector. The wireless module, connected to the electronic circuit has an antenna for receiving or sending signals to and from a transceiver. A battery supplies electric power to the to the electronic circuit and the wireless module.
