Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004089157A1] The invention relates to a ram (1) for a plugging device for driving a strip-type retaining element, preferably an anchor element, into a bore of a toothbrush head that holds a tuft of bristles, according to EP 1 088 495 A1. The front face of said ram (1) comprises a driving surface (2) that is designed to drive in the retaining element, the cross-section (3, 4, 15; 3, 5, 8; 3) of said surface being defined by longitudinal sides and faces (6, 7; 6, 8; 6, 10). The ram (1) has end regions (17, 20, 21) on its front face, which penetrate the material of a toothbrush head when the retaining element is driven into the bore. The cross-sectional region (24, 25, 26) of the ram (1), situated outside the end regions and penetrating the bristle hole is wider than the end regions (17) on the front face.
