Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004085753A1] The invention relates to a sanitary water discharge unit, especially a jet regulator (1) or a shower, comprising a housing (2) that is provided with a liquid inlet (3) and a liquid outlet (4). The inventive water discharge unit is characterized in that the housing (2) can be deformed at least in the area of the liquid outlet (4) thereof from a non-deformed functional position into a shape-modified washing position, the resulting deformation of the housing (2) being greater than the extension at break of deposits that adhere to the housing. Optionally, the housing (2) can be deformed by means of an actuator (9) which operates according to the temperature, said actuator (9) expanding or contracting when a threshold temperature is exceeded so as to mechanically impinge the deformable area (5) with pressure or tension.
