[origin: WO2004085782A1] The invention relates to a device for closing a door (2), said device comprising a spring element (10), a fixing element (3) for fixing the device (1) to a door (2) and an actuating element (13). According to the invention, the actuating element (13) and the fixing element (3) can be coupled to the spring element (10) in such a way that, when the door (2) is opened, the spring element (10) is stretched and the energy stored in the spring element (10) causes the door (2) to close automatically. The actuating element (13) is embodied as a support element that can be placed against the door frame (18) or the adjacent wall regions in a supporting manner, and the fixing element (3) can be mounted on an edge (17) of the door.
