Abstract (en)
An elastic seal (1) and a sealing foot (2) having a holding rib (3) at its lower end and a sealing head (5) at its upper end, the upper surface (9) of which is roughly at right angles to the holding rib rear surface (4). The wall strength (d) continuously reduces from the top to the bottom of the sealing foot. The sealing head (5) has a sealing lip (6) with a downwardly curving cross-section, the upper side (11) of which curves to extend somewhat beyond the upper side of the sealing head (5). A support stay (7) projects from beneath the sealing head (5), its underside (13) converging with the upper end of the sealing foot (2) and the upper side (14) forms a recess (15) with the under side of the sealing lip. The sealing head, sealing lip and support stay are formed as an integral unit.

Bei einer elastischen Überschlagdichtung (1) mit einem Dichtungsfuß (2), der eine Halterippe (3) an seinem an seinem unteren Ende aufweist und auf dessen oberem Ende ein Dichtungskopf (5) sitzt, dessen Oberseite (9) etwa senkrecht zu der der Halterippe (3) abgewandten Rückfläche (4) des Dichtungsfußes (2) verläuft, nimmt die Wandstärke (d) des Dichtungsfußes (2) von seinem unteren bis zum oberen Ende hin kontinuierlich zu. Der Dichtungskopf (5) weist eine im Querschnitt bogenförmig nach unten gekrümmte Dichtlippe (6) auf, deren gekrümmte Oberseite (11) etwas die Oberseite (9) des Dichtungskopfes (5) überragt. Unterhalb derselben springt vom Dichtungskopf (5) ein Stützsteg (7) vor, dessen Unterseite mit dem oberen Ende der ihr zugewandten Seite des Dichtungsfußes (2) zusammenläuft und dessen Oberseite (14) mit der Unterseite (13) der Dichtlippe (6) eine Einbuchtung (15) ausbildet. Der Dichtungskopf (5) mit Dichtlippe (6) und Stützsteg (7) sind als einstückiges, massives Teil ausgebildet.
