[origin: WO2004085964A1] The invention relates to an on-board flight management system. According to the invention, the aircraft crew use an MCD console (20) to enter elements which enable the FMS flight management computer to plot a flight plan, and the courses of the parts of the flight plan corresponding to the airways procedures are displayed on the navigation display (30), the names of said procedures being displayed on the console (20). In this way, the invention facilities the crew in selecting an airways procedure, since the course of the part of the flight plan corresponding to an airways procedure is much more informative than the name of said procedure.
