Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1617001A2] The thermal insulation (11,12) for external cavity walls at buildings, with at least one insulating layer between the shells and with or without back ventilation, is laid as a web and/or plate with a width (B) along its length which matches the gap between the anchors (8) holding the inner (1) and outer shells together. The insulation is positioned and secured by a clamped fit at the anchors. The insulation is of glass wool with a bulk density of 20-200 kg/m 3> and preferably 25-70 kg/m 3>, or it is a foam material.
