Abstract (en)
The cylinder has at least one temperature sensor provided in or on the surface of it's housing to send an electrical signal to an evaluation unit when change of the temperature of the housing is detected. Another sensor can be provided to measure the ambient temperature as a reference for the first sensor. When a threshold temperature is exceeded an acoustic/optical alarm signal is generated. The evaluation unit can be connected to a telecommunications system.
