[origin: WO2004092726A1] The invention relates to a method for the production of an ex vivo skin organ model made of pig skin, which is particularly suitable for studying wound healing processes. According to the invention, hair on the skin is shortened in such a manner that the skin barrier of the epidermis remains intact. The skin organ model produced according to said method enables active ingredients to be studied in a topical and systematic manner using standardised conditions, especially, screening.
