Abstract (en)

Synthetic coke is made from coal, anthracite, graphite, brown coal, petroleum coke, pitch coke, coal coke, brown coal coke and/or charcoal. It is made into pieces with a volume, shape and composition suitable for its end use. An independent claim is included for a method for making the synthetic coke using the process used to make electrodes for aluminum production.
