[origin: EP1619337A2] The adjustment compensator for a machine assembly has a pair of slots (107) formed in respective components (104). Each slot has gear rack teeth (106) engaged by an adjustment pinion (110). The pinion can have an opening (112) for a machine key. The components can have wedge faces which mutually engage.
