Abstract (en)
An error event associated with billed but unusably printed franking imprint having a postage value is detected. The error information is stored and error amount is increased in the information by the postage value. The error information is transmitted to a repayment entity to initiate the repayment for postage value represented in the error information. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) franking machine; and (2) mail processing arrangement.
