Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1619929A2] The system has two hearing aids (1,2) worn on the head for binaural supply of the wearer with input converters for receiving and converting an input signal into an electrical signal, signal processing units and output converters. Parameters for controlling the signal processing can be adjusted to match the signal processing in different hearing conditions and signals can be transferred between the devices to match the adjusted parameters. The matching of the adjusted parameters between the two hearing aids can be inhibited in hearing situations for audio reception : An independent claim is also included for a method of operating an inventive system.
