Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004094177A1] According to the inventive method, the clutch (14) is triggered for closing before the target gear is fully engaged. A control device (17) determines a triggering moment (Anst) for the clutch (14) according to operational parameters and/or state variables of the drive train (10). The control device (17) calculates an interval (Einleg) that is required for the target gear to be fully engaged as well as an interval (Greif) required for the clutch (14) to reach a gripping point. An optimal triggering moment (Anst) is determined from said intervals such that the tractive power is interrupted for a very short time during shifting while completion of the shifting operation is ensured.
