Abstract (en)
A textile web passes through a kiss-roll applicator assembly in which applies liquor to the web at regulated intervals. The roller continually picks up a coating of the liquor from a bath and on emerging from the bath is exposed to an intermittently operated liquor skimmer e.g. jet washer array. In an alternative embodiment the tilt-operated kiss-roll applicator wets the web in sections.
