Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1621304A1] In a process to manufacture wall, ceiling or floor panels from a wood-based material e.g. fibreboard or chipboard, the wood based material is placed in a mould whose inner surface is heated and exerts pressure on the wood-based material. The tool shapes the resulting component edge to an accuracy of within one hundredth of a millimetre at a temperature above 200C. The wood surface is rendered hydrophobic.
