Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1621701A2] The key blank has even, parallel flat sides (2,2'). Notches (6,6') are milled in the axial direction in the region where predefined grooves intersect with the flat sides. The notches have a channel width between 0.1 mm and 0.3 mm, and a channel depth between 0.05 mm and 0.2 mm, preferably approximately 0.1 mm. The notches may have a semicircular or trapezium-shaped cross-section.
