The tilting louvre panel window (1) has a vertically extending frame (4) with vertically spaced pivot axes for louvres forming the window glazing. The louvres (3) are pivoted with respect to the frame via a linkage with a movable rod operated by an electric motor. The motor can be mounted in a horizontal section of the frame and have a worm drive for the linkage.
