Abstract (en)
The cylindrical main body (9) in insulating material includes an external depression in its surface in which a metal connector (27) is inlaid and accommodated, preventing rotation and displacement. The main body includes closed or open channels (20, 21), each extending from an end face of the main body to the connector. The depression is a blind hole or a groove. The inner casings (7, 8) have open areas corresponding with those of the main body. The main body and hollow bodies (3, 4) are plastic, preferably a fluoropolymer. The hollow bodies (3, 4) have inner surfaces interlocking with the outer surfaces of the casings (7, 8). The depression and channels are formed by a continuous groove (20, 21) in the surface of the main body, the channels form narrowings (28, 29) in the groove. Further variant detail is provided. The metallic connector is a crimping component (27) or binding post terminal. When the hollow bodies (3, 4) are screwed together, a clamping component (5) grips the conductor, preventing axial displacement under tension. The conductors (1, 2) are the hot or cold conductors of trace heating cable. The conductor cores have differing cross sections. One conductor is the hot conductor of a heating cable, the other is its cold conductor. One of the hollow bodies is connected permanently with a wall (30) of the supply box.
