[origin: WO2004101086A1] The present invention refers to an adjustable-size skate that is capable of accommodating feet of varying size. The skate according to the present invention comprises a frame (6) carrying the wheels (7) provided in an in-line arrangement, a shell (1) comprising a base (2) supporting the wearer's foot and a containment structure (3) for said foot. Said shell (1) is secured to said frame (6) at least at a fore region (4) and a rear region (5) of said base (2). The skate according to the present invention further includes a cuff or upper wall (8) linked with said shell (1), a toe portion (11) that is movable relative to said base (2), and a size or fit adjustment mechanism (12).The skate according to the present invention is characterized in that said mechanism (12) comprises a telescopic bar (13) provided with a first end portion (14), which is associated to said toe portion (11), and a second end portion (15) protruding from said rear region (5) of said base (2) on the opposite side with respect to said first end portion (14), said telescopic bar (13) enabling the size of said skate to be adjusted by varying its own longitudinal dimension and rotating it about its own longitudinal axis.
