[origin: WO2004098890A1] The invention concerns a polychrome rotary press wherein a printing form carrier (1) is respectively assigned to colours which are to be transferred onto the material to be printed. Said printing form carrier (1) bears a printing form (6) and can be fixed on a mandrel or cylinder (5) of a rotary press for transferring the printing image onto the material to be printed. The rotary press is provided with locating devices (6, 7, 8) which determine the position of the printing forms (6) relative to one another and which include sensors (3) determining the positions of the printing form carriers (1) in the press. The invention also concerns printing form carriers (1) which constitute a system with the inventive press. Finally the invention concerns method for operating such presses according to the invention.
