Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004101283A1] Disclosed are a device (01) and a method for cleaning a cylinder (02) or a roller (02) of a printing press by means of a web of cleaning agent (03). A first supply roll (04) and a second supply roll (07) are provided for the web of cleaning agent (03) while a winding mechanism (06) is rotatably driven so as to advance the web of cleaning agent (03) section by section. The radius of at least one supply roll (04, 07) is detected by means of a measuring unit (19, 21), and the rate of rotary movement of the winding mechanism (06) is modified in accordance with the radius of the supply roll (04, 07) when the web of cleaning agent (03) advances section by section.
