[origin: WO2004096590A1] The invention relates to a device for covering in the interior space of a motor vehicle, more particularly window roller shades (1) for a motor vehicle. The inventive device comprises a retractable hanging (3) and a pull rod (7) fixed to the displaceable end of the hanging (3) and a multipart shaft lodged in the interior of the pull rod (7), which has several partial shaft (8, 9) aligned axially with respect to one another, wherein each of the partial shafts (8, 9) that are located on the end side of the shaft has a toothed wheel (10, 11) on their outer ends, each of said tooth wheels engaging with a toothed rod (12, 13).
