[origin: WO2004101819A1] The invention relates to a method for identifying cell lineages, especially animal and human cell lineages, allowing fast and targeted identification of the cell lineages that are to be analyzed. According to the inventive method, a specific marker DNA comprising at least one random sequence is introduced into the cell lineage, and said marker DNA is detected by means of a suitable method via oligonucleotide hybridization. The marker DNA may contain other sequences or genes in addition to the random sequence/s, at least one random sequence having to be provided.
