[origin: WO2004099542A1] Disclosed is a sectional door comprising a drive unit, a door leaf with several closing elements that are pivotable towards to each other about horizontal axes and are guided within slide rails by means of laterally disposed rolls. The slide rails are provided with a vertical section, a horizontal section, and an arched section that connects the vertical section to the horizontal section. The drive unit encompasses coilable traction means which grip a bottom roll holder that is assigned to the bottom closing element. The bottom roll holder is hinged to the bottom closing element by means of a lever such that the bottom closing element can be swiveled upward relative to the bottom roll holder in the open position of the door leaf. The inventive sectional door further comprises a catching device for stopping a horizontal movement of the door leaf in the open position of the door leaf.
