Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004100601A1] The aim of the invention is to create a detection device that is able to determine whether a microphone or audio signal processing apparatus which is connected thereto operates in an analog or digital manner, an analog or digital terminal being selected according to said determination. Said aim is achieved by a detection device comprising a sensing unit (6), a determination unit (5), and a selection unit (4). The sensing unit (6) senses an external signal that is fed to the detection device and forwards said signal to the determination unit (5). The determination unit (5) determines whether the sensed external signal has been transmitted by an analog or digital audio signal processing apparatus and transmits a corresponding determination signal to the selection unit (4). The selection unit (4) subsequently selects an analog or digital terminal according to the determination signal.
