Abstract (en)

A device (1) comprises an applicator (3) including an applicator element (6) that is at least partially elastically deformable and a receptacle (2) to contain a substance to be applied and to house the applicator element when not in use. The receptacle comprises an opening through which the applicator element passes when the applicator element is removed from the receptacle. The applicator element comprises at least one inner cavity defined between at least two branches that are at least partially flocked and an outside cross-section of the applicator element is large enough for the applicator element to deform while passing through the opening of the receptacle. The deformation results in a shape of the cavity that is modified. The applicator element includes a body made of thermoplastic material. The receptacle includes a wiper member made of non-cellular material e.g. polyolefin and/or elastomer. The cavity is filled with an elastically deformable porous material. An independent claim is included for the applicator.
