Abstract (en)

The escalator has a wedged handrail guided on a balustrade (18) which has guide rollers (16) at the ends. The guide rollers are wedge rollers each with two spaced bearing faces (24,26) on their outer perimeter. The outer bearing faces of the wedge rollers each adjoin the inside faces (18,20) at the side of the wedge of the handrail.
