Abstract (en)
Non-magnetic austenitic steel of very high strength and high corrosion resistance, especially to contact and stress corrosion, containing (wt.%):0.010-0.050 carbon (C), 0.01-0.35 silicon (Si), 12.0-22.0 manganese (Mn), 0.030 phosphorus (P), 0.010 sulphur (S), 25.0-23.5 chromium (Cr), 1.0-4.0 molybdenum (Mo), 0.3-5.5 nickel (Ni), 0.050 aluminium (Al), 0.40-0.68 nitrogen (N), 0.0008-0.0040 boron (B), at least one of copper (Cu) and/or cobalt (Co), where the Cu content is 1.0-5.0, Co is (1.0-6.5) and optionally 0.00-0.1 niobium (Nb), balance Fe and removable impurities.
