Abstract (en)
A paper (1) dewatering press process feeds a paper web through a drum press nip sandwiched between dewatering belts. The paper web proceeds through the nip gap in company with the previously trimmed outer margins. The paper web and trimmed margins are of predetermined constant width. After passing through the last nip, the outer pre-cut margins are separated from the web. Also claimed is a commensurate paper press assembly for carton, paper or tissue paper. The outer margins are trimmed and separated as they pass through the final nip gap with drying cylinder.
