Abstract (en)
A water heater has a burner (2) chamber for a mixture of fuel and air with a primary heat exchanger (3) within a housing (4). In operation the effluent burner gases flow through the primary heat exchanger (4). The primary heat exchanger is a plate heat exchanger consisting of two press-formed plates (10) which following assembly form a water duct (17). The burner effluent gases flow through the gaps (16) formed by adjacent pairs panels (10).
