The system has a hearing aid unit for outputting a current time message as a speech signal, using an external transmitter, and a memory (6) storing the speech signal to output the message. The stored signal is continuously updated to correspond to a current time of a day using an update signal that is transmitted to the unit by the transmitter. The stored signal is output to a user as the message using an output converter.

Bei einem Hörhilfegerät (1) soll auf einfache und kostengünstige Weise die Abgabe eines Sprachsignals zur Angabe der aktuellen Uhrzeit ausgebbar sein. Es wird hierzu vorgeschlagen, im Hörhilfegerät (1) lediglich das Sprachsignal für die aktuelle Uhrzeit zu speichern und dieses Sprachsignal mittels eines externen Senders, vorzugsweise einer Fernbedienung (9), ständig zu aktualisieren. Im Hörhilfegerät (1) wird dadurch wenig Speicherplatz für die Zeitangabe beansprucht.
