[origin: WO2004101330A1] The invention relates to a seat-belt system comprising a 3-point seat-belt (1) with a first upper torso restraint (11) that diagonally crosses the chest of a vehicle occupant (3), a pelvic restraint (20) that holds the pelvis of said occupant (3) and a 2-point seat-belt (2) with a second upper torso restraint (12) that crosses the first upper torso restraint (11), the upper end of said restraint being connected to a seat-belt retractor (13) and the lower end being secured in a seat-belt buckle (8). The system is equipped with means for detecting the fastened state of the 3-point seat-belt (1) and an actuator (17) located in the seat-belt retractor (13) for blocking the latter, whereby the seat-belt retractor (13) can be blocked by the actuator (17) if the 3-point seat-belt (1) has not been fastened.
