[origin: EP1625901A1] Device holds tool parts of press in a lifting device (5) has reference parts (12,13) for the tool parts, each moveable in a relative position defined by the reference store of tool parts. A data capture unit is activated using a switching device to pick up the relative position of the reference parts. On at least one reference part support (2,3) and/or at least one reference part there is a control impulse emittor giving out a control impulse to operate the switching device for the data capture unit.
