[origin: WO2004106085A1] A substrate (10) to be provided with a confidential pattern (40) using normal ink in a concealing region (20), wherein the concealing means (21) of the concealing region (20) is pre-printed with a special ink. Unlike the normal ink, the special ink can be permanently erased using a colour-removing agent (36). The colour-removing agent (36) is deposited on a colour-removing substrate (34) which is bonded to the substrate (10) and can be contacted with the concealing region (20).
