Abstract (en)
The exhaust gas silencer (1) for the exhaust system (3) of the engine has a housing (2) with the tube system (8) through it, containing three cavities (9, 12, 17). The third cavity (17) contains a labyrinth (21) which blocks of the direct path (22) for the propagation of air noise between the noise outlet (20) and of wall aperture (18) in the dividing wall (16) between the second and third cavities.
