The solid disc (4) rotates and the transparent region with windows (9) is permanently connected to the dial (1), or the transparent region rotates and the solid disc is permanently connected to the dial. The solid disc has a series of radial sectors (5, 6). Adjacent sectors have differing colors or gray tones. Each sector is approximately the width of a window (9). The transparent region is a disc (10) mounted on the dial, which includes the windows. Each window covers an angle of 5.625 degrees. Further angular relationships are listed. Each window is a radial slot at given distance from the disc center.

Eine Zeitablaufsanzeige verfügt über einen Durchsichtsbereich (9), der mehrere Fenster (9) umfasst. Diese Fenster (9) sind jeweils kongruent und in einem gleichmässigen Winkelabstand zueinander angeordnet. Unterhalb des besagten Durchsichtsbereichs (9) ist eine Vollscheibe (4) angeordnet, die mindestens zwei Sektoren (5, 6) aufweist, die unterschiedliche Farben und/oder Zeichnungen aufweisen. Dabei ist die Vollscheibe (4) drehbar ist und der Durchsichtsbereich (9) fest mit dem Ziffernblatt (1) verbunden ist. Die Vollscheibe (4) weist eine Reihe von radialen Sektoren (5, 6) auf, wobei benachbarte Sektoren (5, 6) jeweils unterschiedliche Farben oder Grautöne aufweisen, und jeder Sektor (5, 6) hat ungefähr die Breite eines Fensters (9).
