[origin: WO2004107274A1] The invention relates to a system for determining the toll for the use of sections of a stretch of a road of a road network by a vehicle. Said system comprises a traffic control center having a means of communication, at least one vehicle with a device that comprises a means of communication, a position determining means, a digital map of a road network and a computing unit, wherein said computing unit calculates the toll to be paid for the use by a vehicle of a section of a stretch of a road on the basis of data of the position determining means and the digital map and wherein the means of communication sends toll-related data to the traffic control center, said data comprising at least one time-wise allocated position of the vehicle on a section of a stretch of a road for which a toll has to be paid. According to the invention, additional means for allocating toll-related data to individual sections of the stretch of a road and means for determining dynamic traffic information for individual sections of the stretch of a road based on the assigned toll-related data are provided in the traffic control center.
