Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004107467A2] The invention relates to a method for producing an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) involving the application of layers onto a substrate in order to produce a laminar composite, and to the OLED itself. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for producing light-emitting devices, particularly OLED's, which saves on material and produces a homogeneous light-emitting layer. According to the invention, a method of this type for applying layers to a substrate comprises the following steps: applying a first conductive electrode; producing a surface with recesses, and; applying organic light-emitting material. This method is characterized in that the organic light-emitting material is introduced into the recesses.
