Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1630059A2] The system is for the safe operation of track-bound trains running over travel distances. For all trains, for bi-unique allocation of railway routes and trains, a common route administration is provided for the influencing of trains with different safety characteristics. The administration does not reserve track sections belonging to another route, forms a route in dependence upon the safety characteristics of the reserved track sections, establishes the route and makes it safe, and opens the formed route.
