Abstract (en)
The packing tray for foodstuffs has a cavity (11) between the bottom (12) and the side wall (2) of the tray for the inserting of an absorption insert (5). The tray preferably has two strip-form cavities extending parallel to one another, with one cavity extending along one longitudinal side (7) of the packing tray, and the other cavity extending along the opposite longitudinal side (8). The bottom of the cavity is flat, and/or the bottoms of the cavities lie at the same height.
