Abstract (en)
The invention provides a method in which a refrigerant is used as a cooling agent and/or as a defrosting agent, wherein the cooling of a medium is established by passing the refrigerant at a high pressure through a primary side of a cooler, whereby the medium to be cooled is passed through a secondary side of the cooler, and wherein the defrosting of the cooler is established by decreasing the gas pressure of the refrigerant in the primary side of the cooler to such an extent that ice which is adhered to the secondary side of the cooler is released. The invention further comprises a cooling system for carrying out said method.
