[origin: WO2004069123A1] The invention relates to a mobile washing device for washing bedridden persons. Said device comprises a base housing (110) containing a functional unit (111), a freshwater storage unit (112) and a dirty water storage unit (113), in addition to a washbasin (120) comprising a water dispensing unit (130) that is connected to the fresh water storage unit via a first water conduit and a water collection unit (127) that is connected to the dirty water storage unit via a second water conduit (122). The aim of the invention is to facilitate the washing of larger areas of the body in comfort. To achieve this, the washbasin comprises an overhang and is mounted in a bearing that is situated below said washbasin, enabling the latter to rotate about a longitudinal axis that runs vertically. The bearing can be displaced horizontally backwards and forwards by means of a horizontal slide device (125) and the height of the latter can be adjusted up or down using a telescopic arm (126, 126') that is fixed to the base station.
