[origin: WO2004101189A1] Method for bending strip-shaped metal sheet profiles (2) for standing joints which comprises essentially flat web (3) and two lateral flanges (4, 5) forming with the web an essentially U-shaped profile. In order to produce a helical bending arranged on one side of a plating strip, the inventive method consists in exposing the flange (4) to pressure produced by two pressure cylinders (14, 15, 16) on a first axial segment (17) and in bending with the aid of bending means (11a, 11b, 13a). The flange situated on the other side of the metal sheet (2) is exposed to a pressure produced the pressure cylinders (14, 15, 16) on a second axial segment (18) and bent with the aid of said bending means (11a, 11b, 13a), the first segment (17) and the second segment (18) being axially shifted with respect to each other.
