Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004111492A2] A transmission unit has at least two stages with an input shaft and an output shaft inclined with respect to each other and with at least two skew gears, at least one of which has spur gearwheels. Preferably, the at least two skew gears have a shaft in common skewed with respect to both and gearwheels having teeth on which the flanks have a negative crowning. A reduction unit for a transmission unit according to the present invention comprises casing means with support seats for at least one input shaft and one output shaft of the reduction unit that are inclined with respect to each other, and for at least one inclined intermediate shaft, not orthogonal and skewed with respect to the input and output shafts. Said seats are arranged to support said shafts in a configuration parallel to a common plane. A method for manufacturing a reduction unit according to the present invention provides for machining with a machine tool, in said casing means, in a single take, the support seats for at least the input, output and intermediate shafts of the reduction unit.
