[origin: WO2004106816A1] The invention relates to a method for treating the air in a display cabinet for storing and/or displaying objects, the walls, bottom, and top of said cabinet more or less surrounding the inside of the display cabinet. An air inflow is forcibly introduced by means of a device which delivers the air and is connected to the inside (1) of the display cabinet, maintaining a low excess pressure in relation to the outside air. Before being introduced, said air inflow is guided by suitable means over a dust or gas protection filter, and the air humidity thereof is adjusted and/or regulated by means of a cooling device. According to the inventive method, after being filtered, the air inflow is guided into a container (2) containing a liquid (7) which is maintained sterile by appropriate means. In this way, a completely sterile atmosphere is obtained inside the display cabinet in a simple manner. The invention also relates to a display cabinet having a corresponding structure, for carrying out the inventive method.
