Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004109365A1] The invention relates to a projection device comprising a reflective light modulator (1) which is used to generate an image, a light source unit (3) which is used to illuminate the light modulator (1), and a projection lens (6) comprising a first and a second partial lens (7, 8) and an optical axis (OA). In the projection device, each optical limiting surface (W1-W6) of each lens (15; 17-19) of the first partial lens is curved and/or arranged in such a manner that in a reference level wherein the optical axis (OA) of the projection lens (6) is arranged and which the optical axis (OA) separates into an upper and lower semi-level (H1, H2), each reflected ray beam (R1, R2; R3-R8) exiting from the first partial lens (7) completely extends in either the direction of the first half plane or in the direction of the second half plane (H1, H2) in order to prevent the reflected ray beams (R1, R2; R3-R8) from being projected onto the projection surface (11).
