Abstract (en)
The machine has a cutting blade (40) with motor drive (36,38,54). The drive is encapsulated in a modular housing part (12). The part can be replaced after the connection between drive unit and blade unit has been released. It is sealed against crumbs generated during slicing. A drawer-like collection container (28) for crumbs is located on the first housing part. A second modular housing part (14) can be connected to the first part. The second part contains the cutting blade, a transportation device (64,66) to feed a loaf of bread (62) through the blade unit, and an operating device for the drive unit. A disposable oil tank (140) to lubricate the blade, is located above it.
